Momma's Crock-Pot Roast Recipe

I have always loved roast, but mostly I loved the way my Momma made it. When I started my journey to optimal health I really missed this recipe. When I couldn't stand it anymore, I finally sat down and reworked the recipe to work for my new lifestyle. I have found that you can pretty much transform any recipe with just a little brain power. Here is what I have come up with. :)

I have to admit, I am not a meat/poultry snob, and in fact I have used several cuts of meat to make this roast. ALL of them have been good. This particular day I chose a 'Beef Sirloin Tip Roast'. Previously I have used a Rump Roast, a Chuck Roast, and a Shoulder roast.

This week Beef Cuts were on sale. LOVE THAT!

Another reason this recipe is a favorite is the fact that it is probably the most simple roast recipe, EVER.

Let's get into this. You simply place the roast in the crock-pot and pour the ingredients over it. That's. it.

You will also need 3/4 cup of water.

First you will need to make a marinade form the ingredients above. It consists of 3/4 cup of water, 1 oz. packet of Italian Dressing mix, 2 TBS of Brown Gravy mix, and 4 tsp of a Ranch Dressing packet.

Place the roast into the Crock-Pot and pour the marinade over it.

6-8 hours later you've got a dinner to feed a large family, and a DELICIOUS one at that. I'll add a printable PDF version in the 'Printable Recipe PDF's menu.'
